NEWS AND NOTICES

The World Geothermal Congress 2010 (WGC2010) - Geothermal powering world’s today energy,will take place in Bali Indonesia at the Bali International Conference Center (BICC), Nusa Dua, Bali’s largest conference venue, named top in the category “World’s leading Conference & Convention Centre 2006”.

Over 3000 participants from more than 80 countries are expected to attend and learn about the latest breakthroughs in the field. An Exhibition, held simultaneously with the Conference, will feature foremost companies and state-of-the-art products of the geothermal industry.

The expansion of Renewable Energies is a focus on world environment and energy policies. Indonesia has decided to vigorously increase the use of renewable energies in all areas of energy supply: electricity and direct uses.

The Congress will conclude with a Bali Declaration by IGA and its affiliated members concerning:

      - Geothermal energy – an ecologically clean and environment friendly resource for heat and power generation.

      - Geothermal should power acceleration of geothermal energy development in the world;

      - Geothermal powering world’s today energy

      - Geothermal future solution today toward sustainable development

Bali, the beautiful island of Indonesia is world famous for its hospitable people and unique traditional culture, which is characterized in their music, arts and dance.  Bali became world renowned as a tropical paradise of sun and tourism activities, much of its allure remains because of its cultural strength, intricacies of religion and the relatively unchanged way of life.  Located in Nusa Dua, the BICC is not far from the city center and can be reached easily by bus, taxi or other public transportation. The Congress Centre offers all the required facilities and services for both the Conference and Exhibition, together with first class technical installations and professional expertise. The Conference and Exhibition Organizers and the BICC have years of experience in the field to assure a professional and successful event.

Also organized are attractive social programmes and sightseeing tours to complement this international event.
